Class 80 (ii) A two-speed drive for a portable power tool, such as a drill, driven electrically, pneumatically or mechanically comprises a bracket c adapted to rock about a pivot c' co-axial with a driving shaft (not shown) and carrying two sets of gears d, e, continuously driven from a gear on the driving shaft and adapted to be brought selectively into co-operation with a gear f on the drill spindle to give two different ratios. The bracket c is rocked for this purpose by means of an eccentric h engaging in a slotted portion thereof and operated by a handpiece l.
