Abstract
662,328. Veterinary medicines for coccidiosis. AMERICAN CYANAMID CO. Dec. 15, 1949 [Dec. 31, 1948], No. 32209/49. Class 81 (i). A composition for the prevention and control of coccidiosis in members of the animal kingdom comprises an edible or potable substance containing bis-(3-nitrophenyl) disulphoxide. At least 0.01 per cent by weight, and preferably 0.01 to 0.2 per cent by weight, of the disulphoxide is employed, especially in the treatment of poultry, wherein the disulphoxide is mixed with the normal poultry feed, drinking water or other potable liquid such as skimmed milk or butter milk.
