Abstract
660,127. Spray-nozzles. SCHNEIDER, J., and SCHNEIDER, H. June 24, 1948 [July 30, 1947] 17046/48. Class 69(iii). One or more capillary grooves 6 of circular, square or triangular section formed in a part 1 of a nozzle body co-operate with a screwed cap 2 to provide one or more capillary canals each leading to a projection orifice. Alternatively, the grooves are formed in the cap 2. The width of the canals may be enlarged to remove impurities by slightly unscrewing the cap. Liquid is fed to the canals from a bore 4, a radial canal 5, and a peripheral groove 3. In a further embodiment one or more radial capillary grooves 13, Fig. 3, are formed in a shoulder 9b of a part 8 or in a cap 9 to form capillary canals when the parts are screwed together.
