[Class 109] [Also in Group XXXVI] A fastener for suspended electric wires, e.g. polyvinyl-chloride insulated wires, comprises a member 1 having at least three supports 3...5 so arranged that a wire 6 placed between them presses against a part 9 of the wire drawn over the central support 4, the support 3 being so shaped that the wire is bent through 180 degrees in passing round it. The member may have two additional supports between support 5 and the wire span Fig. 2, (not shown), and the supports 3 ... 5 may be formed by bending up the edge of member 1 and by forming a flange round a mounting hole 2, Fig. 3, (not shown). In a further modification, Figs. 4 ,5, (not shown), the member 1 has a set of similar supports on each side, so as to accommodate a pair of wires. The fastener may be of sheet metal or insulating material.
