Abstract

659,481. Electric heating. LANDON, E. C. Nov. 1, 1949, No. 27931. [Class 39(iii)] An electric heater comprises a flat iron body 10 to which are hinged at 18 handle members 16 normally disposed face to face but adapted to be swung apart into the plane of the iron at each side thereof to form a hot plate, the iron 10 and members 16 having heating elements 13 and 21 respectively. When used as a hot plate, the device is inserted and placed in an insulated tray 30 having means 40 for clipping thereto telescopic flexible standards for supporting clothes to be aired. A switch 65 enables the degree of heating to. be controlled.
