Abstract
656,362. Cloches. FONTAINE, M. J. Jan. 7, 1949, No. 516. [Class 20(i)] A wire cloche frame is U-shaped and the junction of the median part 7 with the side links 2 is deformed at 8 so that the median part lies inside the cloche and engages the internal arch frame 16 the side links 2 lying along the outside of a cloche panel 3 which is held between the deformed parts 8 and the deformed parts 9 of the outer ends of the links 2. The parts 9 are formed as loops which engage between the two panels of the cloche and carry a handle 15. The side links are further bent to form notches 11 which hold the panel 4 in a number of open positions for ventilation. In a barn type cloche the arch 16 is formed with vertical extensions to support the two side walls, the lower edges of which are held by the hooked ends of the arch and the upper edges of which are held respectively by the deformed parts 8 and by deformed parts 8d, Fig 6, on a wire member engaging the arch by an eye 8e. The invention is also shown applied to a box cloche having three panels in which the frame 1, 7 lies across the top horizontal panel.
