[Class 6(ii)] Nutrient solution is circulated through reservoirs 2 beneath pervious flooring 3 supporting a plantgrowing medium 1a. An electrically driven reversible pump is housed in one end of a central bed connected at each side with similar beds to and from which the fluid passes. Tubular electric heaters may be placed in the reservoirs.
