651,858. Trollies for runways. ULVSUNDA SAGVERKS AKTIEBOLAG. Dec. 4, 1947, No. 32053. Convention date, May 25, 1946. [Class 78 (iv)] An arrangement in trollies adapted for hanging loads in telpher plants, traverse systems and the like characterized in that the trolley is provided with an extensible stabilizing device for preventing an oscillatory-motion of the load during its lifting, lowering and transport, which stabilizing device comprises two or more pairs of lazy tongs, the end levers of the tongs being mutually displaceable in guide means extending horizontally on the trolley as well as on a frame or board connected to the load. The load platform 18 is carried by wires 16 passing round a pulley 17 on the platform and connected to a disc 9. A lazy tong device comprising tongs 12 and cross-stays 12<1> has its ends slidably connected to the platform and girders 11 attached to the disc. The wires 16 pass round a wire drum 15 mounted on the girders for lifting and lowering. The disc 9 is rotatable about a platform 4 which is supported by rollers 2 running in a guide rail 1 and driven by a motor 3. The rollers 5 on the platform run on tracks 6 parallel to the rail 1. The platform has a flange in which rollers 8 on the disc 9 move, the disc being rotatable by a motor 10 on the platform 4. The girders 11 carry guides 30 and the platform 18 carries guides 31 for the lazy tongs. The load is traversed by wires 32, 34 connected to electric rails and to control cage 29. The cage is coupled to a wire 38 wound round a drum 39 driven by an endless chain on drums 39 and 15 and is a safety-device should the wires 16 break. Instead of both ends of the tongs being movable one may be held stationary and the guides dispensed with.
