650,867. Deaf aids. BELTONE HEARING AID CO. Nov. 3, 1948, No. 28564. Convention date, Nov. 24, 1947. [Class 40 (iv)] An insulating chassis for a hearing aid amplifier which includes a part in the form of a printed circuit comprises a frame made of a material which is of high tensile, compressive and flexured strength for carrying the components which are apt to impart substantial mechanical stresses, and' a plate of non-flexible, heatresistant material which provides a rigid base for the printed circuit and is situated in an opening in the frame. As shown, the chassis comprises a frame 27 of synthetic plastic material having an opening in which is placed a plate 28 of ceramic material carrying a printed circuit, and ceramic condensers 35, 36. The frame 27 carries the valve holders 23, 24, 26 and a socket for the connecting. cord, and is connected with the plate 28 solely by means of the wire connections between the two portions so that mechanical stresses imparted to the frame will not be appreciably transmitted to the plate.
