Abstract

[Class 44] [Also in Group XIII] A car heater (see Group XIII), in the form of a tube 1, is attached to the steering column 11 by means of two U-shaped bandclips 8, Fig. 2, threaded on the limbs of a U-bolt 10 which together with a washer plate 12 encircles the column. In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 5, each bandclip 8 is threaded on a stud 26 abutting an enlarged middle portion 27. On the other end of the studs are threaded two cranked strips 29 gripping the column 11.
