[Class 23] [Also in Group VI] The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a centrifuge used for clarifying beer in which the bowl 51 rotated by shaft 52 has a cover 53 formed with a central hole 54 through which projects a raw beer inlet 55 and a pipe 56 for the outlet of degassed beer. As the beer falls into the bowl 51 the CO 2 is released and is preferably driven off through 54 by air flow caused by a centripetal pump 58 at the bottom and a centrifugal pump 59 at the top of the bowl. The stripped beer flows below the lower edge of the bellshape member 60 through ducts 62 to the orifice 63 of a centripetal pump through the channel 64 and out of delivery pipe 56. An air-oxygen mixture is introduced into the clarified beer as it enters the orifice 63. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
