Abstract

Beer, at a temperature of less than 2 DEG C, is clarified by passage through a centrifugal separator in which the bowl is arranged in a vacuum or is fitted with cooling means to prevent a rise of temperature. The cooling of the separator may be effected by a cooling agent such as air, carbonic acid, or salt solution passed through a coil or jacket or sprayed against the wall of the separate bowl.ALSO:Beer, at a temperature of less than 2 DEG C., is clarified by passage through a centrifugal separator in which the bowl is arranged in a vacuum or is fitted with cooling means to prevent a rise of temperature.
