Abstract

645,795. Two-part couplings. CARR FASTENER CO., Ltd. Nov. 4, 1948, No. 28724. [Class 38 (i)] A plug-in connector comprises a resilient insulating body 1 having projecting pins 3 which are formed integrally with a bridgepiece 4 which is located within a cavity in the body and pins are secured in place by the resilient material of the body overlapping a shoulder on the edge 3a of the pins. The pinreceiving holes 5 are of less diameter than the pins inserted therethrough, the walls 2 of the body being extended to form the cavity. A blank, Fig. 4, having plates 6 joined by a neck 7 is rolled into a cylindrical shape and bent to form the pins 3 and the bridge-piece 4, the plates 6 preferably being of different sizes so that the connector can be plugged correctly into its co-operating socket member.
