Abstract
645,658. Stud fastenings. ASKHOLT, C. E. Oct. 12, 1948, No. 26527. Convention date, Oct. 17, 1947. [Class 44] [Also in Group VII] A watch bracelet comprises two semicircular metal strips 11, 12, the free ends of which are provided with interlocking means in the form of a T-head and a slotted sheath. The edges 17 of the strips 11, 12 are bent over to form channels and are widened at one end to meet along the lines 26, 18 respectively, the outer ends of the housings so formed being partly closed by bent-over flaps 19<1> 19. A latch member received in the housing of the strip 12 includes a T-head 21, and a finger piece 16 by means of which the head cap be pushed forward to compress two springs 23 confined between the flaps 19 of the housing and lateral member. The T-head 21, having been pressed forward, is inserted through a T-shaped slot 27, punched out of the underside of the housing at the end of the strip 11; on releasing the finger piece 16, the T-head under the action of the springs 23 engages the flaps 19<1> and thus releasably connects the strips 11, 12.
