Abstract

644,540. Two-part couplings. TRIX, Ltd. July 16, 1948, No. 19109. [Class 38 (i)] A body in which terminals or sockets are to be mounted comprises identical blocks 1, 2 having deep squareended recesesses 5 and shorter projections 3 in one edge,so that when the blocks are brought together, the projections enter the recesses leaving square holes for the terminals. Additional central terminalreceiving recesses 4 and a groove 6 for mounting on a single holder may be provided. A multicontact device (Fig. 3, not shown) is formed by interposing a series of blocks having identical opposite edges between end blocks similar to the blocks 1, 2. All four edges of an intermediate block may have recesses and projections. The blocks may be differently coloured to indicate polarity.
