Abstract
643,913. Bearings. FLOWERS, H. F. Feb. 28, 1948, No. 6314. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 6, 1948.] [Class 12 (i)] A wheel mounting for an axleless truck comprises a fixed spindle 3 carrying bearings 10 spaced from each other by an inner sleeve 6 and from rigidly-connected side frames 1 by outer sleeves 8, outer oil seals 12 carried by the wheel hub and having an oil-sealed running fit in the outer spacer sleeves 8, and outer dust guards 9 secured to the spindle 3 and having outer inturned portions running freely inside or outside the hub. The side frames, spacer sleeves, inner races and dust guards are rigidly connected together by an end nut 5. Oil is supplied through a central passage 16 in the fixed spindle.
