643,830. Weighing - apparatus. EDWARDS, V. Aug. 12, 1948, No. 21318. [Class 143] The casing of a spring balance has a top, sides and back member a, of integral construction, secured by lugs e and q to a front plate c in which is cut an indicating window s. A member g secured to a suspension eye k serves as an anchor for the top of the spring i, the bottom of which is secured to a moving hook supporting member m. This member carries a support plate o secured to an indicia plate r, by a screw u and a slot v, in such a manner that the plate r is both adjustable for zeroising and detachable for replacement by another plate bearing metric calibrations. Projecting from the plate o are a pair of lugs p which, by abuting against lugs e and q, serve to limit the spring extension.
