Abstract

642,305. Furniture. KINSLEY, A. M. Sept. 6, 1946, No. 26808. [Class 52 (iii)] Each hinged leg 2 of a table top &c. 1 is held in the folded and erect positions by a blade spring 13 and the spring pressure is relieved, to move the leg from one position to the other, :by a manually operable lever 17 pivoted to a toggle lever 10 one end 12 of which is pivoted to the spring 13 and the other 11 has a lost-motion connection with the leg. The lever 17 carries a sliding part 18 with a bent end 18b engaging the toggle link. Preferably a pair of legs are connected by a cross bar 4, one spring 13 serving for a pair of legs.
