Abstract

640,873. Air filters. OZONAIR, Ltd.. and COWELL, E. F. Sept. 21, 1948, No. 24692. [Class 8(ii)] In an air filter comprising one or more V-shaped pockets of fabric material p in a casing, the fabric of each pocket is supported on two open frameworks h, j, k, m pivoted at n inwards of their adjacent edges k, and have means e.g., a bar q at the edges j remote from the pivoted-edges for clamping the opposite ends of a.length of fabric p thereto when the frames are in the same plane, the fabric being stretched when the frames are folded to V-form, with the fabric uppermost. The frameworks are pivoted to opposite edges of a subsidiary framework c so that when folded they present a truncated V-form which is maintained by toggle links s. Individual pockets are replaceable.
