Abstract

640,205. Stocking suspenders. NASH, C. A. Feb. 11, 1948, No. 4049. Convention date, Jan. 17, 1942. [Class 44] A clasp for gripping stockings or the like comprises a button member having a head of elliptical cross-section and a socket member having an elliptical opening, the major axis of which is at right angles to that of the head, the parts being relatively rotated to pass the head through the opening. The button member 10, shown in the unfastened position in Fig. 5, comprises a disc slotted at 12 for connection to a tape A. The button has an annular shoulder 13 and a neck 14 carrying the elliptical head 15 with projecting lips 16, 17. The socket member has a projecting lug 18 slotted for the tape B and a central depression 23 apertured at 20. In the fastened position, shown in Fig. 1. the shoulder 13 is adapted to force the fabric gripped into a concave recess formed in the near side of the socket member.
