636,940. Shop-fronts. BRASCO MANUFACTURING CO. Feb. 21, 1948, No. 5221. Convention date, July 10, 1946. [Class 20 (iii)] A shop-front comprises a pane 16, Fig. 2, 51, Fig. 9, an outer pane-engaging element 13, 53, an inner pane-engaging element 25, 59, a clip 19, 55 in the outer element carrying a plug 24, 57 extending into the inner element, an anchor 33, 64 carried by the inner element and a spring 41, 70 secured to the anchor. When the spring is in the operative position shown and the outer element and plug pushed home the spring bites into the plug and prevents its withdrawal. The spring may however be moved counter-clockwise to free the plug by operating an internallyaccessible latch 43, 72 counter-clockwise about its pivot point 39, 73, the spring passing through an aperture 46, 71 in the latch and being engaged by an edge thereof.
