Group XXIV] A jalousie damper comprises a number of angularly movable blades 6 coupled together by a link 12 and adapted to be actuated by a sliding knob 23. The knob 23 is screwed onto a member 19 passing through a slot 22 in a fixed frame or support 9 and secured to a member 18. The member 18 is coupled to an arcuate member 17 on a spindle 7 of one of the blades 6 by means of flexible bands, ropes or chains 20, 21 which, when the member 18 is moved by the knob 23, wrap and unwrap around the member 17 to rotate the spindle 7 and blades 6. The knob 23 may be screwed down tight onto the frame 9 to clamp the damper in any desired position.
