Abstract

634,749. Bedside cabinets. NEWTON, R. Nov. 7, 1947, Nos. 29665 and 29666. Convention dates, Nov. 14, 1946 and Aug. 8, 1947. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (iii)] A bedside cabinet comprises a storage locker 10 and a rotatable top cabinet 11. The locker 10 has a top member 19 carrying a spindle 24 on which are mounted an outer casing 28, a door member 31, a platform 36 and a top member 41 all rotatable so that the door 31 is accessible from any point around the cabinet. In one modification, Figs. 4, 5, 6, 7 (not shown), the rotatable top cabinet may be carried on wheels running on a peripheral track on the locker 10 and a string and pulley arrangement is provided to revolve the cabinet. In another modification, Figs. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 (not shown), a drawer and slidable shelf are provided in the rotatable cabinet.
