633,988. Coffee infusing machines. ROBBIATI, G. Dec. 29, 1947, No. 34354. Convention date, Sept. 18, 1946. [Class 129] A coffee infusing machine comprises a kettle having a hollow curved neck 4 containing a pipe 8 which delivers hot water to a chamber sealed off from the waterfilled part of the neck and containing a water distributer 7. A filter 15, which contains the coffee grounds, is held in place below the distributer by a removable cup 13 engaged on the chamber. The orifice 12 in the cup 13 is located centrally over the coffee pot when the latter is placed on the seat 2 on the kettle. The lower part of the chamber is formed integrally with the neck and the upper part 9 is bolted thereto, the water distributer being clamped between the two parts. The cup is held in place by means of a bayonet joint. A spring-loaded safety valve 23 is provided on the kettle. In a modification, the upper end of the pipe 8 is screwed into a flanged cap which is clamped to the. lower part of the chamber by the part 9. The safety valve is incorporated in the plug for the filling orifice.
