[Class 47 (ii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] In a fire-extinguisher of the gas-cartridge type, a cartridge b is mounted in a two-part housing c, c<SP>1</SP>, which is slidable in a closuremember h of a liquid container a and is depressible against a spring k, whereby a piercer j on the member h penetrates a sealing disc g and the cartridge seal f. The housing c, c<SP>1</SP> is held against outward movement by lugs c<SP>5</SP> engaging bayonet slots m; a pin n which prevents its inward movement is withdrawn by movement of the usual nozzle to an inoperative position.
