[Class 35] [Also in Group XXXIV] A member is fixed to one race of a bearing for a vertical spindle motor to form the casing of a lubricant reservoir located above the bearing recesses being provided below the bearings to collect excess lubricant. As shown, the reservoir for the upper bearing is bounded by the cup 18 secured by a screw 20 to the outer race 14. A similar arrangement is provided for the lower bearing.
