631,270. Protective clothing. WILLIAMS, H. L. May 14, 1947, No. 12970. Convention date, May 18, 1946. [Class 141] [Also in Group XVII] A watertight protective garment has a neckband 16 of elastic material, e.g. sheet rubber, having a low modulus of elasticity, closable by a sliding clasp or other edge-to-edge fastener 18 extending diagonally across the neckband at the side of the wearer and continued down the side of the front of the garment. The neckband may be frusto-conical and wider than the height of a man's neck so that it forms annular folds, and the end 22 at the rear side of the fastener may extend to a higher level on the neck than does the front end 24. Frusto-conical wrist closures, either endless or provided with a slide fastener, or integral gloves may be provided at the ends of the sleeves, and similar closures or integral boots may be provided at the ends of the legs. The garment may also be provided with inflatable chambers. Specification 631,265, [Group XXV], is referred to.
