Abstract

Thick foils of regenerated cellulose or derivatives of cellulose are made by forming a number of thin foil webs in a precipitating liquid, treating the foil webs in several baths, the last of which contains a cement for the foils such as gelatine, and then joining them together and causing them to dry while being pressed into intimate contact. The drying may be effected on heated rollers. One or more foils may be dyed. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also processes in which the cement is omitted. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
