[Class 44] A door or gate catch comprises on one part, an arm 1 carried at one end of an axle 2, at the other end of which is a handle 3, the lower end 4 of which is the heavier to ensure that the arm 1 is biassed downwards. On the other part is mounted a bracket 5 formed with notches 6 on its upper surface into one of which the end of the arm 1 is adapted to engage to retain the gate shut.
