629,247. Riveting. RIBIS, G. P. G. Jan. 23, 1946, No. 2252. Convention date, April 2, 1942. [Class 83 (iv)] [Also in Groups XXIX and XXXIV] The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a hydraulic riveting machine comprising a piston 64 operated by pneumatic pressure to force a plunger 63 into a hydraulic cylinder 16 to cause liquid to now through a passage 62 in a fixed member 61 into a cylinder 87 where it operates a piston 66 biassed by a spring 67 to move a set 88 up to a rivet 68. When the set has engaged the rivet so that the pressure in cylinder 16 rises, a double piston 9 compresses a spring 12 and moves to the right to close the outlet from passage 62. The piston 9 then operates as a pressure intensifier. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
