[Class 28(ii)] [Also in Group XXXV] A potato, carrot, &c. peeler is designed with its electric motor 14 on a level with and parallel to the scraping barrel 1 so that through a coupling 22, and drive 28, 29, Fig. 4, the peeler parts can be replaced inside by a drive to drive other kitchen appliances such as a mincer 26, strainer 27 grater or coffee grinder. The peeling plate 2 with agitating ribs 5 is driven by belt 16 from the motor. In Fig. 4 the lid 24 is designed to contain the gearing and drives for the mincer 26, strainer 27, or other appliances. A sloping plate 6 deflects the washing water and peelings to a drain 7.
