627,278. Stoppers &c. EVERETT, S. J. Feb. 22, 1947, Nos. 5228 and 8698. [Class 125(iii)] [Also in Groups XXVIII and XXIX] A flexible pipe section adapted to serve as a tubular stopper or closure cap comprises one or more helices 4 of the same hand made of flexible strands of steel wire embedded in a sleeve 5 of plastic material such as rubber or a silicon plastic resin. The section is expanded to fit over a tube by twisting to unscrew the coils and when released contracts on to the tube; a section fitting inside a tube is twisted to screw up the coils.
