626,055. Moulding tubes. SOC. PA. LAVORAZIONE MATERIE PLASTICHE. May 2, 1946, No. 13348. Convention date, March 28, 1945. [Class 87 (ii)] A tube of artificial resin, rubber &c. is made with reinforcing threads helically wound in opposite directions embedded therein by extrusion through oppositely rotating co-axial bushes 5, 6 having longitudinal holes for the threads f and radial holes 8, 10, Fig. 2, and annular grooves 7, 9 for the resins &c. supplied from an annular chamber 2. The bushes 5, 6 are driven by toothed gearing engaging toothed rims on a disc 12 and a cone 13 on which the bushes are respectively mounted. The bush 5 rotates on the bush 6 which rotates on a fixed pivot 18. The threads f are wound off spools 14, 15 mounted on the disc 12 and the cone 13 respectively.
