625,618. Screw conveyers. INTERNATIONAL COMBUSTION, Ltd., and WRAY, J. W. July 9, 1947, No. 18145. [Class 78 (i)] A screw conveyer has a worm which is assembled on its shaft a in a number of sections b, each provided with a flight c, and in the space between at least one adjacent pair of sections there is provided a guide vane e loosely mounted on shaft a for preventing rotary movement of the material being fed through the vane being prevented from axial and rotary movement during the conveying action. The vane may be held in place by projection f in casing.
