Abstract

625,223. Suction fastenings. LUCAS, Ltd., J., SCOTT, B. F. W., and TAYLOR, H. C. June 18, 1947, Nos. 16035/47 and 1560/48. [Class 44] A rubber or like suction cup has a reinforcing disc 2, Fig. 2, located on the inside of the cup, the parts being inter-engaged by a central stud-like connection, e.g. a stem 3, with a head 4, extending from the disc 2, which is preferably located in a recess in the cup. An external groove 6 is provided for engagement with a support 7 for the article to be attached, e.g. a heating device for a vehicle wind-screen. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the cup is formed with an internal headed projection 13 which is forced through a hole in the disc 15 which is located in a recess in the cup.
