623,879. Hot - plates. MAYER SOC. ANON., G. May 23, 1947, No. 13940. Convention date, March 7, 1941. [Class 28(i)] A hot-plate or warming-plate comprises a receptacle 1 containing a source of heat, e.g. candles 9, and covered by two hinged half lids 2, 3. Each half lid has an end 8, projecting beyond its hinge 5 so that the half lid can be opened by downward pressure on the end 8. The ends 8 also serve as carrying handles. The lids are apertured to allow heat to the dishes thereon. The receptacle and lids may be made of aluminium &c. or glass or "Bakelite" (Registered Trade Mark).
