Abstract

619,329. Two-part couplings. BILLETER, J. Dec. 3, 1946, No. 35739. [Class 38 (i)] An adapter for the connection of two or more circuits to a supply socket, comprises plug pins which may be directly connected by a cable to an appliance, and sockets to receive additional plug couplings. In the adapter shown, provision is made for the reception of two plugs by joining each plug pin 5 to two socket contacts 6, 7 and at their junction a drilling 8 and a screw 9 permit the connection of a conductor of the flexible cable 10. The insulating casing of the adapter is in two halves 1, 2 joined by a single screw 4 and nut. In two modifications, Figs. 5 ... 12 (not shown), sockets are provided for the insertion of one plug only.
