618,148. Gas filters. MOREL, S. Oct. 25, 1946, No. 31764. Convention date, Oct. 30, 1945. [Class 8(ii)] A gas filter of the granular bed type has an outside operated poker whereby the whole of the granular material is agitated to prevent clogging of the same. Cork or the like introduced through apertures 11 is held in a metal frame by gauzes 2, 5 and is agitated by a poker comprising a tube 14 sliding on a rod 12 and carrying a cross-bar 16 guided by bars 19 and having spikes 17 and buffers.
