615,005. Clamps. SAVAGE, E. Aug. 13, 1946, No. 24032. [Class 61 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] A carpenters' &c. clamp also usuable for cracking a nut 16 comprises a frame 1 of slotted construction 5 which may be formed by bending a metal strip on itself to provide a handle 2 at one end and jaw support 3 at the other completed by a filling piece 4, an operating screw 13 carrying a handle 15 and a rotatably mounted jaw 14 and an adjustable tilt locking jaw 7 with a bifurcated lower end straddling the upper limb of the frame and a cross-bar 9 located in the gap 5 of the frame, a projection 11 on the jaw being adapted for locking engagement with holes 12 on the frame limb.
