Abstract

610,785. Valve outlets. SMITH, G. C. April 16, 1946, No. 11695. [Class 135] A nozzle attachment for taps &c. comprises a metal cap 4 screwed on to the outlet of the tap, and carrying a rubber block 7 having a bore in which is seated the spherical end 6 of a discharge nozzle 5 of metal, synthetic plastic or ceramic material. The rubber block is retained by an inturned flange at the base of the cap 4, a hole 8 in the bottom of the cap being larger than the nozzle 5 to permit of angular adjustment of the latter. A spider 12, having radial vanes, may be provided in the nozzle 5, and a gauze filter 9 is interposed between the block 7 and a metal washer 10, a rubber sealing washer 11 being placed above the metal washer.
