609,751. Anti-dazzle spectacles. DAVIES, I. H. Feb. 20, 1947, No. 5380/46. [Class 97 (i)] An eyepiece for anti-dazzle spectacles comprises a solid peripheral portion 7, a plurality of opaque fixed bars 8 integral therewith and spaced to form slits 9, the bars being of greater depth from back to front than the width of the slits and disposed in planes normal to that of the portion 7. The eyepiece may be circular to fit into a spectacle frame, or the eyepieces may be moulded integrally as shown, side arms 12 being hinged to rearwardly extending portions 15 of the frame by metal tubes 14 so as to rotate about axes inclined at approximately 45 degrees to the plane of the frame. Ornaments 20 may be inserted in the pivot tubes 14.
