Abstract
604,782. Curtain suspensions. FRENCH & SONS, Ltd., T., and AINSLIE, J. Dec. 3, 1945, Nos. 32624/45 and 23758/46. [Class 52(v)] A curtain rail a is held in a groove or recess c in the window &c. frame d by means of a series of spring brackets of U form with rounded upper portions and short wings b<1> which grip frictionally the sides of the groove and the rail a is held by means of tongues b stamped out of the base of the bracket to engage the upper flange of the curtain rail. If desired the groove may be lined by a metal channel having apertures b whereby it may be secured in the frame of the window &c. the flanges of the channel being shaped to provide ledges d against which the ends b' of the bracket bear while the return ends e protect the edges of the groove. Alternatively the channel may be secured to the lintel &c. which may be devoid of a groove &c.
