603,543. Opening boxes by tearing. PATON, CALVERT, & CO., Ltd., and PATON, W. Oct. 24,1945, No. 27997. [Class 66] A box of cardboard &c. is closed by adhering together projecting flaps from the front 15, rear 16 and side 7 to form the end 1, the flaps being perforated &c., so that a three-ply strip 13 may be pulled up as illustrated to give access to the contents of the box. The side 7 may be perforated to provide a tab 17, and part of its flap may be slotted at 8 instead of being perforated.
