[Class 65 (i)] [Also in Group X] Means for holding open in any required position a leaf or lid 2 of a frame or box comprise a telescopic locking-rod 5 and a link 7 pivoted at one end, at 8, to the fixed part of the frame and formed with a slot 9 through which the locking rod passes. The weight of the link 7 combined with the frictional drag of the rod 5 urges the link to rotate about its pivot 8 and thus to jam the rod.
