Abstract

599,241. Making trowels. LANE & WHITTAKER, Ltd., and LANE, W. H. Nov. 15, 1945, No. 30574. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] [Also in Group XXIII] Uniting by fusion.- The bent neck 5 carrying the handle stern 3 of a trowel is formed separately from the blade 1 and secured thereto by welding. The outer limb 6 of the neck has a flat underface and a projection 10 entered in a larger hole 2 in the blade leaving a groove 9 all around the projection which becomes filled with the welding-metal.
