Abstract

598,607. Building panels; door and window frames. DETOURNAY, G., and COLLET, G. Aug. 17, 1945, No. 21085. Convention date, Nov. 7, 1944. [Classes 20(iii) and 87(i)] The edges of a framed building panel are rabbeted so as to be interfitting, the frame being of concrete, and cast round an insulating panel of agglomerated magnesia or forming a door or window-frame. The frame 1 is obliquely stepped to be complementally rabbeted on all four sides and adjacent frames are attached to one another by bolts passing through holes 7 in the frames. The frames contain an insulating panel 2 and plastering layers 3, 4, but they may contain a door or window or the like opening panel. A lateral flange 10 may be provided in order to convert the normal panel into a panel suitable for joining partition walls. In joining two panels together at a corner, a column 15 is used, Fig. 6.
