592,915. Universal joints. TINNERMAN PRODUCTS, Inc. June 8, 1945, No. 14487. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1944. [Class 80(ii)] [Also in Groups XXV and XXVIII] A dust cover for universal joints consists of a resilient sleeve 11 each end of the sleeve being held to the appropriate shaft end by means of a fastening device comprising a split ring 20 with an inwardly directed notched flange which clamps the sleeve, preferably formed with a beaded end, into a groove in the shaft, the groove serving to prevent longitudinal movement of the fastener.
