Abstract
592,818. Dust separators. DIXON, M. G. (Prat-Daniel Corporation). May 25, 1945, No. 13123. [Class 23] [Also in Group XX] For testing samples of gases for dust content, a cyclone dust separator 10 and a venturi tube 13 are carried by the pivoted wind vane 17 with the inlets 18. 22 to the venturi and the separator respectively facing the direction of air flow and the outlet 11 of the separator in the throat of the venturi. Alternatively, the venturi and the separator may be supported in a flue by a tube which leads the separated dust to a container outside the flue.
