Abstract
590,295. Cuff-links. PERCIN, M. G. G. de. April 17, 1945, No. 9594. Convention date, Oct. 30, 1943. [Class 43] A cuff-link held in position either for insertion or for wear by a bar 3 housing a spring 2, the ends of which are secured to p.ns 1, 1<1> integral with the links proper 4, 4<1>, and moving in slots 6 in the bar, has a stop 5 on the inner face of each of the links. In one position the links are arranged in alignment with the bar, and are locked there by the spring 2 which holds the end of the bar between the lower face of the link and the stop 5. When the link is in the bottom hole the ends of the bar 3 are freed by pulling the links and turning them into a position at right angles to the bar; the bar is thus locked between the stop 5 and the upper end of the link 4. In a modification, one of the links is fixed. The shape of the links may be modified by the use, within the link, of some other form of abutment for engaging the end of the bar.
