Abstract
589,839. Pipe joints. HUMPHREYS, G. H. March 19, 1945, No. 6820. [Class 99 (i)] A tubular fitting 1 for use with a flexible pipe 7 has at least two annular outward bulges 3, 4 which are forced into said pipe and the fitting then secured by the tightening of the band clips 8 and 9. The fitting may be used for joining two pipes by forcing the second pipe over the bulges 4, 5, and 6. The spaces 2a, 3a, 4a, 5a between the bulges are concave and the internal bores of the band clips are of similar section.
